Featured Books

Two distinct books with two very different reading experiences.

One is a memoir filled with humor, cartoons, family stories, and reflection. The other is an erudite legal work that traces constitutional principles, judicial authority, and access to justice in Massachusetts law.

Memoir

Truly Dumbfounded, Dismayed, and Delighted

A Journey of Discovery

Warm • Reflective • Whimsical

Life, law, love, learning, and the humor found along the way.

This memoir is woven with humor, hand-drawn cartoons, and hard-won wisdom. Rather than a straightforward autobiography, it unfolds through vivid anecdotes, awkward moments, philosophical musings, family memories, and lessons gathered from a life fully lived.

It is a companion for readers looking for laughter, perspective, and a gentle reminder that life’s dumbfounding, dismaying, and delightful turns are always worth the trip.

Law / Constitutional Study

The Guarantees in the Massachusetts Constitution

Imposing a Duty on Massachusetts Courts To Grant Standing to All Persons in All Actions

Groundbreaking • Detailed • Judicially Focused

A serious examination of standing, judicial duty, and constitutional rights.

This book breaks new ground in Massachusetts law by arguing that courts have a constitutional duty to hear grievances and that legislative inaction cannot be used as a reason to deny standing in legitimate actions.

It is especially relevant to litigators, legal scholars, and readers interested in constitutional jurisprudence, charitable organizations, and access to the courts.

What Defines the Writing

Writing marked by honesty, rigor, humor, and lived perspective.

Across both books, Charles C. Morgan writes with a clear sense of voice and purpose — whether he is sharing a humorous memory or building a constitutional argument grounded in history, law, and principle.

Thoughtful storytelling

The memoir offers true stories that are humorous, surprising, and occasionally shocking, yet always rooted in reflection and human insight.

Legal depth

The constitutional work traces the development of Massachusetts law with detail, authority, and a clear argument about standing and judicial obligation.

Personal conviction

Both books are driven by a deep belief in asking questions, learning through experience, and refusing to accept easy excuses in life or in law.
